Grading used by Pakistani boards
- A-1 80% and above — Exceptional
- A 70–79% — Excellent
- B 60–69% — Very good
- C 50–59% — Good
- D 40–49% — Fair
- E 33–39% — Satisfactory (pass)
- F below 33% — Fail
Pass marks in each subject are usually 33%. Boards and schools are moving to new grading schemes, so check your own board’s rules.
Final exam needed
needed = (target − current × (1 − w)) ÷ w, where w is the final exam’s weight. If the answer is over 100%, the target cannot be reached.
